Victorian Days at Nevada City

Nevada City, for those who can't guess by the name, is located in California.  Surprise!  Beautiful weather beckoned crowds to enjoy strolling the streets of the town, many in period dress.  Food and crafts were available in many booths, and bathroom facilities were available for those willing to stand in line for awhile.  Otherwise, you had to stand in line unwillingly.

Nevada City is a picturesque little town, fun to visit even when there is not a major event.

Musicians were on every corner, and in between.  Especially precious were the little boys and girls, one here, one there, dressed in Victorian garb, sawing away on their violins with the most serious expressions on their faces, their violin cases on the ground in front of them, overflowing with dollars given by those who enjoyed the sight.  Unfortunately, many of the pictures I took disappeared off my camera.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus, or maybe it was Mother and Father Christmas, and their entourage strolled the streets, posing when asked, smiling at the babies.
