"Want to go out on the lake?" asked my friend with the boat. Um, yeah!
The day looks sunny and warm, but it was actually about 60 degrees, so quite cold when we were going fast, but most of the day we sat and enjoyed the water - higher than usual - and the grass - greener than usual.
I watched my companions skewer worms onto hooks and try to catch fish, but it was either too late or too early in the day for them to be biting. Several of us came pretty close to getting hooked as lines were flung out into the water. The only thing of any size that was caught was a slimy old tree branch.
One of the hazards of being out on a lake for hours in a boat is, uh, lack of facilities. No problem here! This boat has its own toilet, complete with 360 privacy, except for birds that might look down through the open top, or the odd basketball player who might (or might not) show up, and peek over the edge in curiosity.
Friends. I am so blessed to have friends. The long-time ones become like family. My boating/fishing pal has been a friend for almost 40 years, and just last week I spent a wonderful weekend in Arizona with my old college roommate. We go back exactly 42 years, to high school. It's amazing, looking back, to discover which friends you keep in contact with over the years, and which disappear. A big part of it is location, and the other part is communication - and just caring. I love my friends!
By the way, a new friend, Furlock Bonz, is manning the steering wheel with me in this photo.

Looking good, girlfriend! From one of your "old" friends!
Ok, so maybe I WILL confess cuz I think I am older than you. Cindy
Aha, Cindy! One of my long-standing regrets is that we live so far apart. I am not sure you are older - but it doesn't really matter, does it?
Looking forward to warm days on the boat and laughing. Maybe polish will dry slower in the shade~~~;) Love ya 'Ole Friend'
I tested the polish theory, d, and indeed it does dry slower in the shade and out of the wind. Smooooooth!
